ifgy:about

Copenhagen-based DJ, ifgy, has been shaking and rumbling the Danish DJ-scene for the last six years. His unique approach to music both involves classic turntables and modern digital equipment, and the crowd is always in focus. Starting out playing mostly minimal house, ifgy now spins tech-house, neotrance and indie-dance with focus on the pumping grooves and melodic segments. This combination both appeals to the hardcore cornisseurs and the average clubber alike.

Having played at several clubs and venues such as Culture Box, Rust, Vega and KB18, ifgy has established a strong following.

Inspiration is drawn from both the Danish and, in particular, the German electronic underground. Artists as Ron Flatter, Paul Kalkbrenner, John Tejada, Booka Shade, Daso, Patrick Chardronnet, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Extrawelt are often in heavy rotation, along with releases from labels such as Boxer, Bpitch, Great Stuff, Ostwind, Kickboxer, Border Community, Pickadoll and Karatemusik.

It was actually the two Danish DJ's, Krede and Thomas Madvig, along with the highly acclaimed Fabric 13-album mixed by Michael Mayer, which ignited the spark and pushed ifgy into the world of the turntables.

Several mixes are available in the mixes-section and every month new ones arrive. Enjoy.
